As a result of some words with his brother Harry, Landy Magee was arrested on complaint of the former for provoke and was fined sl. aud costs, $12.50 all told, by Squire Irwin Monday. As a result of an all day’s neighborhood row at Fair Oaks between the families of Mrs. Belle Marlin and Mrs. Susanah Casey, the former was arrested Thursday charged with assaulting Mrs. Casey and pointing a big revolver at her son. The latter charge was dismissed and Squire Irwin acquitted her of the former, at the trial held here Thursday afternoon. Rev. Father William Hordeman, who recently graduated from St. Mary’s Theological Seminary at Ciucinuati, celebrated his first mass at St. Augustine’s Catholic church here Thursday. The service was largely attended by the members of the church from the surrounding country. He has been a assigned as assistant priest in a church at Gas City.
