To All Whom It May Concern: This is to certify that I take pleasure in stating I have personally known Dr. J. W. Younge for several years and that he is a member in good standing in the West Jefferson street Church of God in this city. He is held in high esteem by all the best citizens of our city, as a physician who labors to benefit humanity in body and soul. He is a Christian gentleman of high intellectual attainments and well worthy the respect and confidence of the public. As a physician be stands high, an honorable, conscientious doctor whom I can cheerfully recommend to the sick and afflicted, as one that will do all for them that can be done. E. W. Allen. . Pastor W. Jefferson St. Church. The above testimonial is from
one of the leading-ministers of the Christian church of Indiana and should be accepted as a guarantee as regards the high standing of Dr. Younge, in the church and city where he has lived during the last 80 years. The reader should bear in mind that our local physicians are prejudiced against so-called outside doctors coming here and taking cases, that they have given up as hopeless and curing them; this is just what Dr. Younge is doing. He takes hopeless cases and cures them. | Dr. Younge is the oldest, established, reliable graduate in medicine in the state, who devotes all his time, ability and experience to the treatment of chronic diseases. He has deposited one thousand dollars in the bank that he has treated more cases of chronic diseases than any other specialist in this state. Remember his date, April 12th. A STRONG ENDORSEMENT. The following letter of introduction from Rev. L. L. Carpenter, of Wabash and president of Bethany assembly, as regards Dr. J. W. Younge,, of Ft. Wayne, speaks volumes for the doctor: Wabash, Ind., Dec. 1898. Dear Brethren: This letter will introduce to you Bro. J. W. Younge, M. D., of Ft. Wayne, Ind. I have known him favorably as a citizen, a member of the Church of Chrsit, as a practicing physician for many years. You will find him n Christian gentleman of much more than ordinary ability and lie is probably as well and favorably known as any physician in the state. He merits any favors you may show him and they will be appreciated by me as if done to myself. L. L. Carpenter. Rev. Carpenter is well known through Indiana, Ohio, Illinois and Michigan, being one of the oldest preachers in the state, aDd the above letter from him is entitled to great weight, as he would Dot vouch for the doctor unless he knew him to be all right. Cleveland, 0., May 24, 1901 To the Public: Having an intimate aquaintance of more than 50 years with Dr. J. W. Younge, it affords me great
pleasure to testify to his merits and ability as a Christian gentleman, scholar and physi<£an, haring served with him tiltring the Civil war. As regards his ability as a physician, I believe there are few men in the country his equal and none his superior. I shall embrace every opportunity to speak a good word for him, as be richly deserves the success he has honestly won. R. E. Hudson. Prof. Hn dson is well known as the singing evangelist, author and publisher of so many of the popular hymns of the day. He is an official of ihe Christian Holiness Association and a preacher of the Methodist church. ■ 1 Pittsburg, Pa., Aug. 20,1899. To Whom It May Concern: I take pleasure in stating that I have personally known Dr. J. W. Younge for a period of over 40 years and only knew him as an honorable Christian gentleman and physician. I take pleasure in commending him as such, as I know of some remarkable cures of consumption and other diseases which he has effected. I believe him worthy of the fullest confidence of the public. Samuel T. Mitchell, D. D. Rev. Mitchell was formerly presiding elder of the M. E. church of the Pittsburg conference, and one of the ablest preachers in that demonination.
r* Dr. Younge will be at the Mnkeever Hotel next Wednesday. April 12. If yon are in any way afflicted we advise you to call and consult him. If be cannot cure you be will candidly and honestly tell you, and under no circumstances will be deceive you. He has treated and cured more cases of chronic diseases than any other three specialists in Indiana, Illinois or Ohio. Remember bis next date is WEDNESDAY, APRIL 12.
