JOHANN HOCH IS NOW IN CHICAGO

Many of Hls Wives at the Hallway Station to See the Bigamist Arrive. Chicago, Feb. 1). —Johann Hoch, bigamist? hypnotist and optimist, reached Chicago late in the evening from Ne*v York, shackeled to Detective Sergeant Loftus. Many of the women whom Hoch is alleged to have married were at the railway station to witness his arrival.

His trip from New York was in the nature of an ovation. Crowds gathered to see him at stations along the road. Every town through which the train passed seems to have been informed of Hoeh’s coming. In the crowd which followed him in New York to the ferry he had scores of admirers, who shouted words of comfort as he walked along handcuffed to the Chicago detective. “You’re all right, old man,” was one of the familiar phrases thrown at him just before he hade farewell to New York. “Watch him. officer, he’s likely to break away and marry some woman on the way home,” shouted another.
