THE COMMON COUNCIL.

At the regular meeting of the city council Monday evening the following business was transacted: Report of city treasurer was referred to finance committee. Water rate in Dr. Kresler’s office was reduced to $lO per year. Owing to distance necessary to pipe, it was voted to put in water for Lee Jessup upon payment of sls, year, rental, in advance. The clerk was allowed sl6 for making special assessement duplicate for 1905, councilmen Irwin and Grow voting against the allowance. Geo. K. Hollingsworth resigned as member of school board and Granville Moody was elected his successor, Delos Thompson receiving one vote. Supt. of water and light plant was instructed to visit each house and place of business in the city where water is used and ascertain what fixtures are in and amount of water used, and report to council.
