OUTSIDE FIRM GETS CONTRACT.
Tippecanoe County Supplies to be Obtained at Terre Hapte. Lafayette, Ind., January s.—For the first time in twenty years the county printing and courthouse supplies will be obtained outside of Tippecanoe county. The Viquesney company, of Terre Haute, stepped in and broke up recombination alleged to have existed for years, and with a bid that was several hundred dollars under that of the Burt-Terry-Wilson company, captured the prize The contract was let late yesterday afternoon, after ten days of wrangling. Before the Board of Commissioners there was a stormy scene. Thomas W. Burt, president of the defeated company, received one of the four classes, but rejected it, and said he would fight the case in the courts, demanding an injuction against the Board of County Commissioners from letting the contract to the Terre Haute firm.
