THE CITY COUNCIL.

The city council met in regular session Monday evening and held a short session. The appointment of George F. Meyers, L. Strong, R B. Harris, L. H. Meyers and James Matheson as city commissioners by Judge Hanley was confirmed. The city marshal reported that gravel road superintendent offered to keep half of the poor farm gravel road which is in the city in repair if the city would keep the other half in like condition. The offer was accepted, The marshal was instructed to secure two cars of crushed stone for use on the streets. The superintendent of the light plant was instructed to notify the school board to make certain repairs in the steam pipes which heat the school buildings.
