Remember that moving from one township to another after Sept. 8 disqualifies a man from voting this fall. Keep tab of those in your neighborhood who have moved in since the above date and see that they do not vote at the November election.

You depositors in the McCoy bank who are cursing over the loss of your hard-earned dollars, the savings of a life-time of economy and self-denial, should not forget that politics in Jasper county for the past quarter of a century has been run on the same plan as the McCoy bank —and the McCoys have run it, too.

State Geologist Blatchley in the late report issued from his office, gives the fake oil companies a slap. The operations of fraudulent oil companies sprang into existence after the discovery of oil at Beaumont, Tex. Not one out of a hundred, ho says, paid back a small percentage of the amount invested. In Indiana alone thousands of dollars went into the coffers of these companies which had headquarters nt Indianapolis and at other cities of the West. A number of companies have been organized to operate in Jasper county and other Indiana fields, he says, and their only assets were leases on a few hundred acres of supposed oil territory and a small amount of money invested in prospectuses and stock ’ certificates.
