W. S. PARKS RETURNS.

W. S. Parks, whose departure from Rensselaer a few weeks ago caused so much gossip, returned home last Monday evening on the 11:30 p. m. train. He had written that he would return on this train, and he was met by his pastor, Rev. J, M. Elam, and W. S. Day, a prominent member of his church, who accompanied him to his home and spent the night there, it is reported, talking over matters. Mr. Parks has not been up town since his return, so far as we are able to learn, and no statement from him has been made public. If he did go away with another woman, as persistent rumor contends, there is one injured party whom the public has evidently forgotten in this matter, and that is the husband of the woman. His home is broken up and a cloud has come into his life that time will never fully eliminate. Let a little friendly sympathy be extended to him in this matter also. When you come to the carnival, come prepared to buy your canning peaches at John Eger’s. This will be Jtbe first, week that yellow Michigan 'peaches will be on the market.
