Elam. Pastor. No trace of five-year-old “Rich” Byers, the Seelyville. nd., boy who disappeared Sunday, May 29, has ever been discovered. Notwithstanding the widespread circulation of the description of the boy and the offers of reward, nothing whatever has been heard of him. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Waggoner of Gillam township were in the city Saturday, the latter having recovered from her recent aberation of the mind. She was brought home from Longcliff by her husband, June 25, having been there but 5£ weeks to the time of her discharge. Ernest Cockerill traded his five lots in Leopold’s add., Monday, for 200 acres of land owned by Dr. Caldwell of Mt. Ayr, and lying in Colfax tp., Newton county. The land was put in at $9,000 and the lots at $1,500. The deal was negotiated through N. Littlefield’s real estate agency. >CThe remains of Isaac D. Sayler were brought here Sunday on the 3:30 p. m. train for interment, from Saybrook, 111., where he died last Thursday. Immediately after the arrival of the train bearing the remains, the funeral was held, at the M. E. church, conducted by Rev. H. L. Kendig, and interment made in Weston cemetery. The burial ceremonies were in charge of G. A. R. Post No. 84.
