Great Strike of Tailors.
New* York, June 23.—The first general strike of tailors In six years, and the first strike of any magnitude against an open shop, began by 1,200 clothing cutters quitting work. This will be followed by a general strike in all branches of the ready-made clothing industry. The strike will affect Newark, N. J., aa well as Manhattan and Brooklyn, and according to the estimates of strike leaders, will affect from 25,000 to 30,000 clothing workers directly, and make from 15,000 to 20,000 more Idle in the busiest season of the year. ,
