Whittaker of Gillam township, was in the city Tuesday. Mr. Whittaker has given up farming and expects to secure a position as conductor on an inter-ur-ban road running between Logansport and Indianapolis. Miss Laura Stanley, a domesftc employed at the Makeever House, shot a 22-caliber bullet through her left hand last Friday night by the accidental discharge of a revolver which she was handling. The wound was not very serious.
