Jasper County Democrat, Volume 6, Number 45, Rensselaer, Jasper County, 13 February 1904 — AN UNSAFE PRESIDENT. [ARTICLE]
AN UNSAFE PRESIDENT.
But while this is said to the President’s credit, it is still true as Mr. Root admitted, that here in New York—and not here alone but iu every business center of the country —President Roosevelt is regarded as an unsafe man. This is the feeling, and a feeling that is not easily argued down. It is a feeling which has its inspiration in Mr. Roosevelt’s temperament apd habit of mind. He is impetuous, “sudden," dogmatic, dictatorial and changeable by tarns,, He is spectacular and bellicose. No man of this character, who holds np a “tighter" as the highest type of citizen, can ever be regarded as a wholly Base President. —New York World.
