RALEIGH T. NEWMAN DEAD,

Our former fellow-townsman, Raleigh T. Newman, was stricken with paralysis of the stomach and brain, Dec. 19,1903, and remained unconscious most of the time up to the 23d, when he died at 5:30 o’clock p. m., at his home in Rochester, this state. Mr. Newman was 57 years old and besides hi* wife, Annie M., he leaves two sons—Ernest, aged 28, and George, aged 24 years. He was a soldier in company “N,’’ 37th Kentucky Infantry, Vols., in the civil war, and when living here w** h member of Rensselaer Post 84. G A. R., and he and his wife belonged to Robt. H. Milroy Circle, jLadies G. A. R. They had lived in this county from about 1890 up to about two years ago, when t hey moved away and their «hh»i>. liends here regret the del- tinr. of bo good a man and cordially sympathise with the i*uni., in their affliction. *
