COVER BREAKS HUSKING RECORD.

The Lowell Souvenir contains the following mention of a well known young matt of Union tp., this county: “Machall Cover has beat the record for. corn busking in this vicinity, cdhditions being taken into consideration, so we are told by those who have some experience and knowledge. Monday he went into Wheeler Nichols’ field, where considerable corn was down, and huaked 110 bushels and 40 pounds in eight hours, which was Drought to Nichols’ elevator and weighed by C. E. Nichols. The corn was husked nice and clean. It is eaid that bad the corn been standing np well he could have made his 120 or 125 bushels. This is a record that Mr. Cover should be proud of. He is a husky, well-built young man, quick of action and certainly of great endurance. There are gallant heroes in the cornfield as well as on the field of battle, and this young man is certainly one of them.
