THE COMMON COUNCIL.

The city council met in regular session Monday. About the only business transacted was the allowing of a number of claims. The insurance on the city plant was ordered renewed in the companies represented by C. G. Spitler and B. F. Ferguson. The finance committee and city at* torney were instructed to procure a book for the collection of special assessments and to make arrangements with the county auditor and treasurer for the collection of the same.
