NEWTON'S NEW RAILROAD.

Kentland Enterprise: The engineers and other attaches of the surveying party for the Indiana Harbor Railroad were in Kentland Tuesday evening, and left Wednesday morning to commence the sutvey on the Benton county line, and will proceed south to a point on the Wabash Railroad in Warren county. Three surveys have been made in Lake county, commencing at Hartsdale and proceeding to the Kankakee river, the company endeavoring to lay out a line with the least possible grade. The line through Newton county has long been determined, and will be followed with but little if any change. The company desired, however, to run the survey through Benton county before the corn in the fields reached a sufficient height to interfere with the work, and the work in this county is therefore left until fall. Two surveys will be made in Benton county. From good authority we learn that construction work will be commenced early next year.
