Notes of Current Events.

Cameron. Mo., has voted to issue $59,000 in bonds to build water works. Homer T. Fuller, president of Drury College, at Springfield, Mo., has resigned. Charles G. Spencer of St. Lonis won the world’s inanimate target championship at Cincinnati. James Dent, a wealthy farmer of Logan County, O. T. t aged 65 years, was struck by a Santa Fe passenger engine near Seward. O. T., and instantly killed. He was walking on the tracks and evidently did not know of the train’s approach. In the United States Court at Ardmore, I. T., Fred Gay and Herman Mercer were found guilty of killing Solomon Russell in 1901. The defendants as-. sassinated Hassell one night near his home because they thought he was a hoodoo doctor. Gay and Mercer received life sentences.
