BEFORE TAKING-AFTER TAKING.

It was worth considerable to see “Honest Abe.” the conquering (?) hero, ceme into town last Friday on his return trip from Kentland. Abe, Clark, Marshall and the cow-puncher went by team to Remington, and left the rig there to drive back the next day. Abe did the driving going over and held the reins like a Padgett or a Billy Smith. On the return journey Clark and Marshall deserted Abe and returned via rail, and the cow-puncher had to drive the team home, while Abe, well wrapped in and blankets, was curled up in the roar seat, trying to figure out where ho was at. The cowpuncher held up until begot home, when he also experienced a severe sinking Bpell, and up to this date no issue of his last week’s weakly has been seen in the wastebaskets at the postoffice.
