The schools of Gillam township and Keener (except Demotte, which closes Monday) closed last week. Milroy will close this week and next. Ypeter Giver will move his family to Hammond, where he has a good position as engineer in an electric power house, the tirst of the coming month. Charles Shroyer has moved back to his farm in Barkley tp. His town property, where lie has lived for the past year, h* haw rented to John Pott*. "u. H . Culp was over from Lee Tuesday. Mr. Culp hns just moved from Hanging Grove tp., to his recently purchased 120 acre farm at Lee, uud is therefore now u resident of White county. O'Connor was down from Kniman Tuesday. Warner Elmoro of BlufFton, was in the city Monday, closing up a a lease of the old Shields farm south of town, now owned by the Elmore’s, to Toni Erwin. Mr. Elmore says that wheat—the leading crop of his locality—is looking exceedingly well.
