WRECK ON THE MONON.
A wreck occurred on the Monon at Cyclone about 2:30 Tuesday morning. Train No. 35 that passes through Rensselaer at 11:30 p. ra., headed into the siding to clear the track for the northbound train. A freight on the siding prevented the passenger from clearing the track, aud the brakeman was sent ahead to flag the train northbound. He did not get far enough, how. ever, and engineer Tom Clyne, seeing the headlight of the freight deemed the track clear and came on at full speed. His engine struck the sleeper on the rear end of No. 35 and rolled it ovor into the ditch. Eleven passengers in the sleeper were more or less injured, some of them quite seriously. Clyne and his fireman both jumped and the former was pretty badly bruised.
