INSTRUCTIONS TO VOTERS.
You must get your ballots of the polling clerks on entering the election room, The State Ballot will be printed on pink paper; the County and District Ballot on white paper; and the Township Ballot on yellow paper, there being three separate and distinct ballots to be voted at this election, and the candidates of each party are grouped under the emblems of the respective parties as shown herewith. 2. Take the ballots and the Blue Pencil (which the clerks will also hand you) and enter the booth and prepare your tickets: If you wish to vote a Sthaight ticket, make a X thus within the circle surrounding the emblem at the head of the ticket you desire to vote, and make no other marks whatever; if you wish to vote a mixed ticket, DO NOT make any mark within the circle at the head of the ticket, but make a x thus within eaoh of the small squares
at the left of each candidate for whom you desire to vote. Make no other marks whatever. Prepare each of your ballots, then fold them so that the initials of the Poll Clerks on the lower corner thereof appear on the outside, hand the ballots to the Inspector, return the pencil to the clerk and leave the room. * 3. If, by mistake, you should spoil or mutilate your ballot, return it to the clerks and get another one. 4. If you cannot see plainly or are physically unable to prepare your ballot, you may call on the election clerks for assistance and they must prepare the ballot as you dictate.
