Edward Phllbrookj one of the largest cattle owners of Eastern Montana, was drowned in the Rosebud River near Forsythe. Mont. The Madrid express was derailed owing to some unknown cause near Guard* (Portugal). Nearly nil the cars were wrecked. Six persons were killed tnd twenty-seven injured. Secretary Moody, after consultation with hi* bureau chief*, gave orders that one of the battleships authorized nt the last session of Congress bo constructed ■ t the New York navy yard.
