Patrick Kelly and John Baritcb of Colorado, Pa., and John MeMichael of Glrardvllle were killed by the explosion of a boiler at the Lehigh Valley Company packer No. 5 colliery, near Girardvilie. Kelly was a fireman and the other men were helpers. The body of an artist has been found covered with rocks and debris, near Mountain View, Ok. He was probably murdered. Stewart, president and vice-president of the Union Wholesale Company, with headquarters in Kansas City, pleaded guilty in the federal court there to three indictments charging them with making fraudulent use of the mails. Officers account for the desertions from the fact that the Thirteenth Cavalry is a new regiment and the men are new to the service.
