The farmers are gathering corn. Ek*j Sayler of Rensselaer, was at his iarm, Wednesday. W. L. Bringle spent Saturday evening at Lizzie Shindlcr's. 'Mrs. VV. O. Florence was at Mrs. Jane ‘Shipman's Wednesday. Several of our young folks went to Chicago on the excursion Sunday. Frank Deweese and Nora Keithley ■spent Sunday with Myrtle Bringle. ■Superintendent Hamilton and Trustee Wilcox visited our school Tuesday forenoon. Miss Christcn:a Fiack was the guest <of Lora and Ada Yeoman Sunday after--4MOU. Fred Powell, of near Mt. Ayr, was at his father's, J. A. Powell’s, Tuesday night. Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Shipman spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. E. Smith, south of town. Joseph Francis returned home Saturday from a week's visit with friends and relatives in Illinois. Mr. and Mrs. Ervin and niece and Misses Gertie, Sadie and Bessie Paulus spent Sunday with Mr. Walmgs, of near JBsoofc.

Mrs. L A, Rowell, Mrs. U. G. Tyler and Mrs. H. Warren, of Rensselaer, were at W. B. Yeoman’s. Mrs. W. L. Bringle returned home Thursday from a several days visit with relatives aud friends at Fair Oaks. Mr. and Mrs. J. H„ Sayler and Erhard Wuerthner, Jr., spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Harris of Mt. Ayr.
