CIRCUIT COURT NOTES.

Court lias been grinding along all this week, the longest-winded case thus far being the Gifford vs. Churchill-White Grain Co , of South Bend. Gifford sued for $555, difference on weight in grain sold defendants. The case began Tuesday and ended Thursday, the ■j*J‘ awarding him $205. Bushong vs. Busliong, action for divorce. Decree granted and defendant ordered so pay SSO alimony on Dec. 1 and SSO on June 1 of each year, until six payments have been made. Plaintiff asked for custody of the two children, infant boys, which was granted but refused to restore her maiden name of ()ra Henkle to her because of the fact of the children being boys and having to bear the name of Bushong. Defendant did not appear in person, but was represented by his attorney, Jesse E. Wilson. The damage case of Eisle vs. Franckoyink, from Carpenter tp.. was on trial yesterday. Franekoviok is a Polander, and a number -of the MO or more witnesses were Polacks. An interpreter was necessary in examining some of them. The case was still on ns we go to press The big cattle stealing case of Halligan vs. Tanner et al is set for next Tuesday.
