Roberts of north of Kentland. dropped one of the reins while hauling oats to town Monday, and got down on the doubletrees to get it. One of the horses became frightened and kicked him repeatedly in the face, killing him almost instantly. Misses Etta Donnelly and Amie Knowlton, while driving to town Monday evening, their horse became scared at a load of hay, near the depot, and ran away, demolishing the buggy and throwing both the girls out. Miss Donnelly escaped with a slight shaking up, but Miss Knowlton was quite badly injured, and was unconscious for several hours.
