APPLICATION FOR LIQUOR LICENSE Notice is hereby given to the citizens of the first ward in the City of Rensselaer, the citizens of ttie City of Rensselaer. Indiana, and the citizens of Marion township. Jasper county, Indiana, that the undersigned, George A. Strickfaden, a male inhabitant of the State of 1 ndiatia, and over the age ot twenty-one years, and has been and is of good moral character, not in the habit of becoming intoxicated. and a fit person in every respect to be i> trusted with the sale of intoxicating liquors, and has been a continuous resident of said ward for over ninety days last past, and that tins applicant is the actual owner and proprietor of said business and will be such if license lie granted, will apply to the Board of Commissioners of said Jasper county. Indiana. at their August term. 1901. said term commencing on Monday. August 5, 1901, for a license to sell and barter spirituous, vinous, malt andall otherintoxicating liquors, in a less quantity than a quart at a time, with the privilege of allowing and permitting the same to he drank on the following premises to wit: Tlie precise location of the premises on which the undersigned desires to sell and barter intoxicating liquors as aforesaid. with the privilege of allowing same to he drank on the premises is as follows to-wit: The one story frame, iron-clad building, situated on lot number four <4), in block nuinoer three [B], of the original plat of the town of Rensselaer. Jasper county. Indiana; said building and the room therein in which the applicant desires to sell said liquors being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at a point on ttie westerly line of Van Rensselaer street, five [s] feet southely from the northerly corner of lot number four [4] in block number three [B] qf the original plat of tlie town of Rensselaer. Indiana, and running thence westerly parallel with Washington street for a distance of fifty [so] feet; thence southerly parallel with Van Rensselaer street for a distance of twenty-two [22] feet and four [4] inches; thence easterly parallel with Washington street a distance of fifty [so] feet; thence northerly parallel with Van Rensselaer street twentv-two [22] feet and four inches to the place of beginning. Said room being fifty [so] feet long and twenty-two [22] feet and four [4] inches wide by outside measurement, and said room being forty-nine L49] feet long and twentv-one [2l] feet and four [4] inches wide by inside measurement. There is one single sash door in the northerly side of said room adjoining an alley, and one sash door in the westerly end of said room. The front of said room is a glass front, adjoining the sidewalk and fronting on said Van Rensselaer street. That the said described room is separate from any other business of any kind and that no devices of amusement or music of any kind or character is in said room, and there is no partition or partitions in said room; that the said room can he securely closed and locked and admission thereto prevented; that said room is situated on the ground floor and fronts on Van Rensselaer street in the City of Rensselaer. Indiana, and is so arranged with glass windows and glass doors so that the whole of said room may be viewed from said street. I The said applicant will also at the time and place of applying for said license, make a further request for the privilege of selling tobacco and cigars in connection therewith. Indiana, at the August, 1901, term, said term commencing on Monday. August 6, 1901, for a retail liquor license empowering him to sell and barter spirituous, vinous, malt and other intoxicating liquors in less quantities than a quart at a time with the privilege of allowing and permitting the same to be drank on the premises where the Same are sold and bartered. The precise location of tne premises wherein said applicant desires to conduct said retail liquor business is the only room in the lower story of a two story frame building situated on lot eleven (11) in block five (5). in the original plat of the town of Dunnville. in Kankakee township. Jasper county, Indiana, and the said room is more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the southwest corner of said lot in said town plat and thence running east twenty (80) feet, thence running north two (3) feet, to the place of beginning, thence running due north thirty (80) feet, thence running due east twentv-four (34) feet, thence due south thirty (80) feet, thence due west twenty-four (34) feet, to the place of beginning. The said room fronts on said Main street and has two glass windows and one glass door fronting on said street and is twenty-three (38) feet by twenty-nine (29) feet by inside measurements ana has one glass door in north end of said room and or.e glass window in the west side and one glass window in the east side thereof. That said described bar room is separate and apart from any other business of any kind or character and has no devices for amusements or music of any kind or character therein. That there Is no partition or partitions therein and the said bar room can be securely closed and locked and admission theretoat all times prevented and Is so arranged with glass window's and glass doors so that the whole of said room may be viewed from the sidewalk and street In front of the same.
