Miss Katie. ■ Herman Flohrick, aged 18, was killed by lightning while plowing corn in his father's field north Goodland Tuesday afternoon. The team was also killed. Robert Bretzinger, a 11-year-old Monticello lad. was drowned in the Tippecanoe river near that place last Friday. He was a nephew of Peter Giver of this city. Mrs. O. A. Carrothers formerly of this place, but now of Lee, White county, recently fell heir to $1,000.00, left in her favor at the death of an uncje in Ohio.—Kentland Democrat.
