Public Baths in Cities.

Many cities, including St. Louis, are giving increased thought to the subject of public baths. New York city has just introduced a bath equipment into one of its public schools, situated in a crowded tenement district. It* consists of 14 shower baths, the spray system having been found to give the greatest cleanliness and economy of time. Germany is credited with leading otT in this addition to public schools. Spray baths were established in the Goeltingeik schools in 1885, and 75 per cent, of the pupils use them. , The system has been adopted in Berlin and many other German cities, and has spread into Switzerland, Denmark, Norway and France.
