Vermont Anthoritics Tiike Prominent Men Into Custody, Lieut. Gov. Martin Allen d? Vermont and J. W. lvetchum, a publisher, have been arrested in connection with tiie wrecking of the Farmers’ National Bank of Vergennes. Mr. Allen wasSiee-presi-dent of the institution. Lieut. Gov. Allen says that he courts tlv> fullest investigation, and that if his hooks are not correct it is because they were juggled by the cashier of the bunk. He has ordered an export to work on them.
