France fears a general Arab revolt in Algeria. Thirty-five persons perished in a fire at Amreeli, India. Dr. Nehrman of Grenna, Sweden, went insane and stabbed nine persons. Russian Y. M. 0. A., founded six months ago, now has 800 members. Czar of Russia will establish a school for the education of military surgeons. Gun carriages used in Queen Victoria’s funeral will be preserved as venerated relics. The Emperor of Gerniany lias completed the reorganization of the Prussian cabinet. Germany demands $25,000 from Great Britain for certain expulsions from the Transvaal. Hundreds of wealthy Russians have been arrested for alleged complicity in conspiracies. France has sent a war ship to Tangier to enforce the demand for an apology from the Sultan of Morocco. George Miller of Chicago and an accomplice have been arrested for robbing the American Express Company’s office in Paris. Marquis Ito's ministry in Japan, of which so much was expected, has resigned. All the ministers tendered their resignations with the single exception of Viscount Vatanabe, minister of finance. Marquis Yamagata has been asked to form a new cabinet.
