Buggies, Carriages, Farm Wagons, Binders, Etc. In 1882 C. A. Roberts established himself in the farm implement and buggy business iivßensselaer and has since engaged continuously and actively in it, making him the longest in this business of any dealer in this city. Mr. Roberts’ business has increased so rapidly that he outgrew his old quarters and recently erected a large ware house on Front street which he is rapidly filling with wagons, buggies and implements of late pattern and improvements and of grades and prices to suit the wants of all. By careful, conservative dealing and by guaranteeing goods to be just as he represents them, Mr. Roberts has built up a large business.
This place has the exclusive agency in Rensselaer for the Studebaker buggies and wagons, recognized far and near as the best line of vehicles on the market. Mr. Roberts also has the agency for the NicholsA: Shepherd threshmachinery, Birdsell clover-hullers, Monarch gas engines, Parson’s band CUttepg find self-feeders. McCormick movers and binders as well as their shredders and coni harvesters. The outfit of the Union City Carriage Co., also finds its way into Mr. Roberts’ wareroom and soon very handsome rigs may be seen at surprisingly low prices for the quality of the W’ork. Mr. Roberts is recognized by the people of Jasper county as a place where the transactions are all conducted upon a strictly honorable business basis, and the proprietor is a man of energy and enterprise, interested in the welfare of Rensselaer.
