DR. J. W. HORTON
Moderrt Dentistry. No profession has made such rapid advance along the highway of science in recent years as the practice of dentistry. And Rensselaer is particularly fortunate in having one of the most skillful and successful dentists of the state located in this city. Nineteen years of continuous practice here has given Dr. J. W. Horton a prestige and a standing in the community which stands preeminent. But Dr. Horton's practice is not restricted to this city or even this county, for in the past few days Mr. Reed Banta, of Casey’s Creek, Ky., and a lady of Chicago Heights were amongf his patients. This is easily accounted for by the fact that Dr. Horton learned his profession not only in the colleges but in the offices of several of the most renowned dentists of the country. He is a graduate of the Haskell School of Dentistry in Chicago and has been connected with offices in Wheeling, West Virginia, and Troy, Pennsylvania. In the latter place he was in charge of the false teeth department and made 500 sets in a single year. Dr. Horton has a nicely appointed and well furnished office at the corner of Washington and Cullen streets, equipped with the most modern appliances and instruments and with a. library stocked with scientific works dealing with all branches of his profession. Dr. Horton always attends the State Association of Dentists and participates actively in all their deliberations. Dr. Horton makes a specialty of crown and bridge work of which he has made an active study, but he is well skilled in all branches pretaining to dentistry. He is a clever citizen and held in the highest regard by his fellows.
