Kansas Farmers Form Protective Or* gonizat on of Wheat Growers. Every township in Saline County. Kansas. is represented in a combine of wheat growers just formed by tlie farmers. They will run their own elevators and handle their own wheat through their own stock company. Tlie organization is formed for protection against the grain pool which lias had tlie wheat growers at its mercy. if the pool tries to drive tlie combine out of business by offering higher than market rates for wheat the farmers will accept tlie offer, but will turn tlie excess of their receipts over the regular rates over to their own treasurer and lie will use it to maintain the elevators while they are idle. Similar farmers' organizations are springing up all over Kansas.
