Harry Gifford transacted business in Chicago a couple of days last week. John Newland is very sick-with kidney trouble. Dr. Johnson is attending him. lack Kneadler and fames Whited ol Wheatfteld, were Newland visitors Saturday. After a lapse of four months and the changing of the nam •of the station four times, we have been granted a postoffice at Newland with T. M. Callahan as postmaster. We will be supplied througli the Gifford postoffice.
