Congress has gone perhaps for weeks, perhaps for months. But as it did limit the franchise grab in the Philippines and did not authorize the the subsidy grab in the^H T nited States, we shouldn’t be altogether paralyzed with astonishment if we had it with us again before long. When George E. Marshall filed a claim for squares for publishing the notice to the taxpayers, when there was only 19 squares in the notice, he filed a false claim against Jasper county which is punishable by not less than two yeftrs in the penitentiary, and The Democrat openly charges that this was a false claim, and that it is but one of the many filed by Marshall against Jasper county. Now, then, this is a libellous charge if not true. Does the Apologist man desire to prosecute?
