The young ladles of Springfield have organized an antbtobacco club and propose to make It pretty warm for the young men who chew the weed. The more poetical members of the society have commenced writing rhymes, the following being a few specimens: He who chews the nasty ping Shall never have my waist to hug. Here is one that repels the tobacco chewing lover with scor:n He who will tobacco spit Shall be iny own true loved one— Bit. Another one, who no doubt' Las read Tom Moore, handed in the following: You may rinse, you may gargle your throat like a jug, But the scent of tobacco still clings round your mug.
