Burford stationary suit against Jasper county, mention of which has frequently been made in our columns, is set for trial in the White circuit court next Wednesday. The Lawton circle of this city will entertain the Milroy circle, of Rensselaer, Friday afternoon from 1 to 6 o’clock, at the home of Mrs. Fox, on west Main Cross street.—Monticello Journal. Miss Ada Bride Makeever, daughter of Jasper Makeever of near Mt. Ayr, and Mr. Otis Phillips of Morocco, were married Inst week. The bride is well known here, where she has visited a great deal. Geo. W. Casey of Union towuship, went to AUen county Monday to look an estate of which he is the administrator. A Mr. Wilson of Brook, a prospective purchaser of the lands of the estate, accompanied him.
