Obituary.
MaryC. McClmtic, was born April 17th, 1849, in White Co. Ind., near Monticello. Ai the age of 15 she went to Pennsylvania and at the age of 21 she was married to George R. Keever. In 1871 she went to Kansas and remained there 18 months, and during that time united with the M. E. church, then she returned to Pa. on account of poor health, remained there four years. In 1877 she came to Indiana and remained ever since. During that time she united with theM.E.church,and was a faithful member. In the year 1900. she united with the M. P. church. She died Nov. 14th, 1900. She leaves a sorrowing husband, and 4 brothers and 2 sisters to mourn their loss.
Mrs. Crestena Sommers, was born in Germany, March 4, 1821; died in Jaaper county Nov. 7, 1900, aged 79 years, 8 months and 3 days. She was left a widow Dec. 26, 1894, with seven children, two sons and five daughters, to mourn the loss of a loving father, and now the seven children are mourning the loss of a kind and loving mother. She came to America in 1874 and made her home with her eldest daughter, Mrs. Fred Saltwell, in Milroy tp., until her death. Her children were all present except one son and one daughter, the fiist being in Minnesota and the other in Oklahoma, and could not be present. Deceased was a member of the Lutheran church. The funeral was held from the Milroy Baptist church, Nov. 9. at 2 p. m„ and the remains taken to Benson cemetery for interment. *
