The November term of the Jasper circuit court convened Monday and the week has been taken up with probate matters, setting of cases and hearing a few of minor importance. Following, in brief, is a record of the more important proceedings: Two staj.e cases vs. August Hoops, selling liquor on legal holiday, continued from Sept. Term; defendant filed affidavit foi change of venue tiom this court. State vs. Henry Trebus, giving away liquor on Sunday, continued from Sept.. Term; set for 4th Monday. State vs. Herbert Barney, grand larceny; set for Monday, Dec. 3 State vs Frank Frogg, the Morocco county seat election importing voters case, brought here from Newton county on change of venue; continued on account of defendant's sickness with typhoid fever. State vs. Charles R. McCully, arson; set for 4th Tuesday. B. J. Gifford vs W. C. Babcock et al, landlord’s lem; continued by agreement. Hasper vs. I. & L. Ry. Co., damages; set for 3d Monday, John VV. Harris vs. Town of Remington, to quiet title; set for 3d Thursday 9 a. m. Jasper County Oil & Gas Co., vs Chappell et al, restraining order; set fer 3d Friday, qa. m. Gleason vs. McGinnis, account; set for 3d Saturday 9 a. m. Anna C. Hershman vs. Jasper County Oil & Gas Co., to quiet title, set for 3d Thursday. Mary E. Spitler vs. John E. Spitler, note and mortgage; judgement for plaintiff for $1,694.12. David J. Thompson appointed receiver to rent, pay taxes, etc. 15. J. Gifford vs. C. W. Baker et al, the Gillam tp., gravel road case; set for 4th Thursday 9 a. m. A. McCoy & McDonald vs. Hanging | Grove tp.; to recover pay for sheep killed by dogs; set for 3d Tuesday, 9 a. m. W. H. McDonald vs. Isaac Saidlai et al; set for 4th Wednesday, 9 a. m. Theodore F. Clark vs. John Curry et al; set'led out of . ourt and costs paid. Woman's Relief Corps No. 39, vs. Milroy Circle and Rensselaer Post No. 84 G. A. R., action for injunction; set for 3d Wednesday, 8 a. m. John Reed Sr., vs. John Reed Jr., et al, to set aside deed; settled and cause dismissed. Rasmussen, vs. Jensen; set for 3d Monday, 10 a. m. Schultz vs. Stibbe;set for 4th Tuesday, 2 p. m. Kline vs. Kline, Newton county case; set for Tuesday, 27th, 10 a. m. Bedford vs. Warner; 3d Wednesday, 8:30 a. m. Jesse Summers was fined $5 and costs for assaulting Wm. Lewark; a Keener tp. case. James W. Douthit, as attorney for Wm. B. Chilcote, secured a divorce for his client from his wife, Lydia V. Chilcote, on the grounds of desertion. McFarland vs. Wm. H. Randle, administrator of the estate of Jane Shaw, deceased; Judgment by agreement for $134,85, the fuliamount of claim. Sarah A. Brown of Rensselaer, was granted a divorce from her husband, Walter O. Brown, on cruel and inhuman treatment charges. I have private funds to loan on real estate at low rates for any length of time.
