Death of John O. Moneghan.
John O. Moneghan, died suddenly Sunday morning at the home of his sister Miss Susie Moneghan, 2 miles north of town, from appoplexy. The funeral was held from the residence Monday afternoon Rev A. G. Work of the Presbyterian church conducting the services. Interment in Weston cemetery. Deceased was born in New York City, August 30, 1851. He leaves three sisters, Mrs. Martha Donnelly and Miss. SusieMoneghan of this place, and one sister in Brooklyn. Deceased came to Rensselaer about 17 years ago and was employed for some time in Sears’ furniture store, later opening an upholstering and repair shop on nis own account which business he continued to the time of his death. He was a quiet, honest and industrious citizen and bis sudden taking off was a shock to his friends.
