Mr. Bailey is getting some better. Mrs. MoCoy went to Rensselaer Tuesday. Corn is looking very good in this vicinity. Will Arnott has moved into the Gwin property. Mis* Alice Hellengreen spent Sunday at home. Misses Emma Ritter and Mae Lotnan were here Sunday. Jennie Murray and brother Harry were here Sunday. Preparations are being madefor Children’s day at this place. Rev. Appleton delivered an able sermon here Sunday eve. Quite a large crowd was here to play ball last Sunday afternoon. Mis* Clara Luts was appointed leader of the C. E. for next Sunday evening. Mr. Foster ha* been suffering quite severely from heart trouble for the past week. Mis* Eveline Hickman of Rensselaer, spent a few day* last week with Miss Stella Pollock. Otto h'imms. Van and Harvey Wood, Mariou Gwin, Clifford Parkison and Emmet Fiddler, all of Pleasant Ridge, Sundayed here. The boy* can stand lots of hits and bard knocks, but it only took a slight kick to get them togooue and one-half miles north of this place to play ball. ON TKB WINO. Before she got her bicycle she sometime* used to make The beds and wash the dishes, and help her mother bake; She would even sweep the parlor and dust the bric-a-brac. And once she did the washing, though it almost broke her back.
