Her Sixty-First Birthday.
A very enjoyable affair was the occasion of Mrs. Philip McElfresh’s 61st birthday. Friends and members of the W. R. C. paid their respects, and were pleasantly entertained. Good cheer was in evidence, and very pleasant hours were spent in social enjoyments. The health/of Mrs. McElfreeh is such that she is confined to her home most of the time. The cheerful presence of all these friends had a happy influence, and will be a bright spot in memory to be treasured in after years. A dainty tea was served by friends and relatives. After wishing her many httppy returns of the day and her cordial response, we returned to our homes convinced that age has its compensations when one is surrounded bv such circumstances and is cared for so tenderly. •
