Harlan Whittaker Accused of MurderIns Kentucky’s Governor. Harlan Whittaker of Butler County, the home of W. 8. Taylor, has been held at Frankfort, Ky., to answer to the

grand jury without bond, charged with the killing of Gov. William Goebel. Silas Jones of W&itley County, arrested for complicity in the assassination of the Governor, was admitted to bail in the sum of SSOO. Whittaker’s examination was before County

Judge Moore and evidence adduced is held to show that he la either deeply implicated in the crime or knows the men who did the shooting.
