Circuit Court.
The pettit jury was called for Monday but have had little to do, of the jury cases several were settled before trial. The State case vs Hoy Rishling of near Lee, for assault; defendant acquitted. State vs Karr, indicted by the last grand jury for presenting a dog scalp to the for a wolf scalp, to secrue the bounty ; motion made to quash indictment, which was done, the court holding that no crime had been committed as the claim for bounty should have been presented to the commissioners. State vs Hershman, drawing dangerous weapon, appealed from lower court; acquittal. State vs Horace G. Cook, surety of peace; acquittal. Peters vs. Jones, to quiet tile, new trial refused and case will be taken to supreme court. The Thomas vs Galbreath land commission case was settled outside of court Halstead vs Ridenour, cattle case, was also settled.
