WOLF CHASE

Tuesday, February 27, to center on the Bucklin farm, or what is known as the “Gas Well Farm,” 1| miles west and 2 miles south of Francesville, Ind. All Lines will begin the march at the following places at 9 o’clock a. m. sharp: North Line: The North Line will form on the Section line Road, two miles south of Medaryville, and begin the march at 9 o’clock a. m. Wm. Prewett, Capt. west half of line and James Guild, east half of line. East Line: The East Line will form in line on the Monon River, and begin the march at 9 a. m. L. W. Hubbell Capt. north half of line and John F. Kopka, Capt. south half of line. (North half go slow.) South Line: The South Line will form in line on road running east and west one mile north of Monon, and begin the march at 9 a. m. Jud Moore Capt. east half of line and Elza Webb Capt. west half of line. West Line? West line will form along the road by the Ben Harris, Pool farms etc. to the Pinkamink, then north along east bank, and begin the march at 9 a. m. T. Eldridge Capt. south half of line and J. Brown Capt. north half of line.

All lines to stop one mile from round-up at the following places: North line 1 mile north, East line 1 mile east, South line 1 mile south, West line 1 mile west and remain there until the flag on the windmill tower on the gas well farm is lowered, then all lines march to the wire fence enclosing the 80 acres, where the wolves were killed the 14th. No rifles allowed. No boy gnder 18 years allowed with gun. Wolves, if any killed, to be sold, and proceeds to go for refreshments.
