Trine fin Their Duty.
A military play was being acted at a small theater. Men were required on the stage as soldiers, and the colonel of tbe regiment then quartered in tbe town lent to the manager a certain number of his regiment, who were of course glad to add a little extra money to their pay. The regiment happened to be an Irish one. Everything went splendidly np to the battle neene, when the signal was given for tbe flght to cense, and for the regulars. who personated tbe beaten foe, to retreat.
