Lincoln- Douglas Debates.

The famous debate between Lincoln and Douglas at Galesburg, in the celebration of the anniversary of which President McKinley participated, waa the fifth in a series of seven joint debates between the two men, who in 1858 were, rival candidates for the United States Ben ate. The other debates were held at Ottawa, Freeport, Jonesboro, Charleston. Quincy and Alton, in the order named. Cruiser Now Orleans needs a thorough overhauling.
