The Board of Review.

The board adjourned Tuesday after being in session 25 days. Quite a number of changes were made in individual assessments, those in Hanging Grove tp., probably being greater in number than all other townships combined, and the changes made therein were principally increases, both in realty and improvements. All lands exclusive of town lots were raised 10 per cent in Union and Gillam. Same, reduced 10 per cent, in Milroy. The assessment of horses was raised 10 per cent in Carpenter and Remington, 20 per cent in Gillam; reduced 10 per cent, in Wheatfield and Walker. Realty assessments in Rensselaer reduced 10 per cent Assessment on phones of Jasper County Telephone Co., said to have been raised from $4 each to >6 each. The individual assessments that were changed are too numerous to publish in full. We are not advised as to just what the total increase or decrease in the entire county amounts to.
