TOWNSHIP TRUSTEES.

What Their Duties Are Under the New Reform Law. t Attorney-General Taylor gives the following opinion with reference to the powers and duties of township trustees under the new reform law: 1. Township trustees should report to the board of county commissioners all of their doing up to April 28,1899, when the acts of 1899 went into effect. 2. From April 28, 1899, township trustees should -Tepojt all their acts and doings to the township advisory board, at its annnal meeting on the first Tuesday of September, next. 3. The act of 1897, providing for reporting to - the board of county commissioners was specifically repealed by the reform bill of 4. From April 28, 1899, all estimates, contracts, expenditures and reports of township trustees are governed by the acts of 1899. 5. Since the first annual meeting of the township advisory boards do not convene until the first Tuesday in September, the provisions concerning estimates to be made are not applicable to township trustees between the taking effect of said law and the first Tuesday in September, 1899.
